Brewery Spotlight: Hammerton Brewery

Hammerton Brewery based in Islington, North London, prides itself on producing a diverse range of beers, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Their core range includes well-loved staples such as the N7 IPA (5.2% abv), showcasing a blend of American and New Zealand hops for a refreshing, citrusy finish and Crunch Peanut Butter Milk Stout (5.4% abv) a rich stout with sweet buttery peanut and biscuit flavours with hit of roasted peanut aromas – in a crowded market this stands out as a truly fantastic peanut butter stout!

Innovation is at the heart of Hammerton Brewery. Frequently experimenting with new recipes and limited-edition brews; they release new limited release beers every month to compliment the 6 core range beers. Since brewing their first beer N7, they have won many top industry awards with N7, N1 Pale Ale (4.1% abv) and Crunch Peanut Butter Milk Stout (5.4% abv).

The brewery’s taproom is a must-visit destination for beer enthusiasts. Located on-site of their Islington Brewery, it offers a cozy and welcoming environment to enjoy their freshest brews straight from the source. Since 2017 they’ve also had a pub on Holloway Road named The House of Hammerton. Another great place to discover their beers, especially popular before an Arsenal game on matchdays!

We have handpicked three delicious Hammerton beers for our boxes this month. We have:

N7 - IPA (5.2 % abv): An IPA with seven different hops from the US and New Zealand giving a complex citrus aroma. Hoppy and refreshing, prefect blend of bitterness and sweet malty flavours

Panama Creature - XPA (4.7% abv): Light bodied cross pale ale with an intense tropical aroma, bursting with fruity flavours and intense shades of mango & passion fruit

Tuned - Hazy Pale (Ale 4.1% abv): Soft, hazy pale ale has aromas of lemon, papaya and grapefruit. Full bodied with a pleasant biscuity malt backbone which gives way to a lingering, smooth bitterness.
