Dorking is a small brewery located on Aldhurst Farm in Surrey, specialising in the classics with a modern twist.
Established in 2008, the brewery has become a staple of the local craft beer scene, producing a range of traditional and contemporary beers that highlight both classic British styles and international influences. They use British malt and a variety of hops to create balanced beers with rich flavours, and they offer popular options like IPAs, pale ales, stouts, and porters.
Sustainability
Sustainability is central to Dorking's philosophy. They follow sustainable energy-efficient brewing practices, and focus on recycling waste products such as sending spent grain to nearby farms to feed cows. The brewery's community-oriented ethos is also evident in its events, such as tours, tastings, and open days, which allow visitors to experience the brewing process first hand and sample fresh beer directly from the source.
Their taproom offers a local experience to sample a variety of beers directly from the brewery. You can book brewery tours directly through their website.
Our Boxes
We had Freedom Trail New England IPA 4.8% and Five Claw West Coast IPA’s 5.1% in our boxes this month. These are two fantastic IPA’s full of citrus notes with a smooth hoppy bitterness. The New England IPA was slightly hazy with a lower bitterness leaving a sweeter creamier mouth feel. Two fantastic IPA’s I will be having again.
We really enjoyed these beers from Dorking, we will definitely be looking to try some of their others in future.
